News Summary

Richtech Robotics announced a loss of $4.1 million in its fiscal third quarter as it expands its AI-powered coffee shop, Clouffee & Tea. Despite generating $1.2 million in revenue, the company faces challenges with its innovative robotic barista, Adam, which enhances customer engagement. The company remains optimistic about growth, signing a $4 million sales agreement in China and continuing to implement over 300 robotics solutions across various sectors. Strategies are in place to improve operations and customer experience as Richtech aims to refine its offerings and expand internationally.

Las Vegas, Nevada – Richtech Robotics (RR) has reported a loss of $4.1 million in its fiscal third quarter, as of August 11, 2025, signaling challenges as the company expands its innovative coffee shop concept. The loss translates to 4 cents per share, while the company generated $1.2 million in revenue during the same period.

Richtech Robotics is known for developing Adam, an AI-powered robotic barista that engages customers, takes orders, and serves beverages. The company launched its automated coffee shop, Clouffee & Tea, on February 9, 2025, at the Town Square shopping center in Las Vegas. This establishment aims to serve a wide variety of milk teas, coffees, and desserts, enhancing customer experience through cutting-edge technology.

The innovative Adam robot is designed to create an interactive experience that can detect customer presence, engage in small talk, and process verbal orders. Through its friendly demeanor, Adam aims to attract both locals and visitors. In addition to serving beverages, Adam is designed to work alongside human staff to handle tasks beyond its capabilities, such as offering snacks and bottled drinks.

Despite the reported financial losses, Richtech Robotics remains optimistic about its future growth. The company has implemented over 300 robotics solutions across various sectors, including restaurants, retail, hotels, healthcare, casinos, and senior living homes. Key partner organizations include renowned names such as the Texas Rangers, Golden Corral, Hilton, Sodexo, and Boyd Gaming.

To further enhance its international growth strategy, Richtech Robotics signed a $4 million sales agreement with Beijing Tongchuang Technology Development in China. The company is committed to expanding its presence in Asia by providing AI-driven solutions that aim to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

In June 2025, Richtech Robotics began deploying Adam with Ghost Kitchens International, and the robot is currently operational at another location in Dawsonville, Georgia. The robot is engineered to prepare a cup of coffee in about one minute and can serve hundreds of guests daily, with plans to reduce labor requirements in businesses utilizing Adam by up to 30%.

The company went public in late 2023, and its president, Matt Casella, has identified the launch of Clouffee & Tea as a significant milestone for the company, showcasing its innovative use of AI in the hospitality industry. Various operational improvements are being considered to enhance the customer experience, including the addition of self-service kiosks for customer payments.

As part of an innovation strategy, Richtech Robotics has initiated an accelerator program aimed at collaborating with U.S. universities for robotics research, allowing academic institutions access to the company’s robotic systems. The company showcased its technology at the CES in Las Vegas, highlighting advancements in hospitality and healthcare through robotic solutions.

Richtech Robotics is focused on refining operations and rapidly developing new Clouffee & Tea locations to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. With a strategic vision in place, the company aims to continue its growth trajectory while introducing its AI technology to a wider audience.
