Las Vegas – The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Las Vegas Chapter will host its 3rd Annual Mission Pitch event on Monday, September 30, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This event aims to spotlight local nonprofit organizations, allowing them to present their missions and compete for unrestricted grant funding in a dynamic pitch format.
During the Mission Pitch, nonprofit professionals will share their stories and objectives with the audience, enhancing visibility and receiving crucial feedback while vying for financial support. This annual event is seen as an essential opportunity for nonprofit organizations to connect with funders, business leaders, and philanthropists, fostering collaboration and growth within the community.
Major sponsors for this year’s event include NV Energy, PNC Bank, and Catapult Fundraising, which are committed to strengthening the nonprofit sector in Nevada. Each nonprofit organization participating will have a five-minute pitch to showcase their mission, programs, and community impact, following which live judging will take place. The judging panel will consist of Anthony Alonso, President of Catapult Fundraising; Magda Hirsch, Vice President and Client and Community Relations Director at PNC; and Karen Johnson, Senior Community Relations Specialist at NV Energy.
This year, twelve nonprofits will participate in the event, including the Miracle Hope Foundation, Cristo Rey St. Viator College Preparatory, Leaders In Training, Candlelighters for Childhood Cancer, Shoes for Scholars, Scouting America, Vegas Stronger, Kickz for Kidz, Signs of HOPE, Girls on the Run Las Vegas, Senior Resource Center, and Once Upon a Room.
The AFP Las Vegas Chapter is dedicated to promoting ethical and effective fundraising practices through education, networking, and advocacy.
