Las Vegas – Credit One Bank hosted a special event on May 29, 2025, for students from After-School All-Stars Las Vegas, offering them an unforgettable experience at a Las Vegas Aviators game. The gathering was part of the bank’s Number One Fan program, which aims to provide local students and families with unique opportunities through partnerships with nonprofit organizations.
The event began with a surprise luxury bus ride to the Las Vegas Ballpark, where the students were treated to a game day experience complete with access to the outfield pool. While watching the game, attendees enjoyed food and beverages and had the chance to interact with the Aviators’ mascots, Spruce the Goose and The Aviator. These kinds of events exemplify Credit One Bank’s commitment to enhancing the community and engaging youth in positive experiences.
Leading up to the game, on May 19, 2025, students participated in an exclusive batting practice event, honing their fielding skills while enjoying time spent in the dugout, complete with refreshments. During this occasion, students also received Aviators merchandise, increasing their excitement and connection to the local baseball team.
Christina Ortiz, Senior Manager of Sponsorships at Credit One Bank, expressed excitement about the collaboration with After-School All-Stars Las Vegas, highlighting the focus on creating memorable experiences for students. The bank’s Number One Fan program, initiated in spring 2023, has engaged numerous local families with various sports teams, including the Vegas Golden Knights and Las Vegas Raiders, strengthening community ties through these partnerships.
In addition to the event at the Aviators game, Credit One Bank celebrated local student achievement by announcing its One For The Community Scholarship recipients. This year, the bank increased the scholarship offerings from 15 to 21 students, aimed at supporting Las Vegas youth pursuing higher education in Nevada. Each selected scholar receives $2,500 for their first year of college, with an option for renewal for up to three additional years, potentially totaling $10,000 in financial support.
The selection of scholarship recipients is a joint effort between Credit One Bank and the Public Education Foundation (PEF), which has been actively supporting students since its inception in 1995. Mamta Kapoor, Community Reinvestment Officer at Credit One Bank, noted the increased opportunities available this year and praised the caliber of applicants for the scholarships.
Credit One Bank has a well-established history of community engagement, demonstrating ongoing support for local students and families. The initiatives under the Number One Fan program exemplify a successful approach to building relationships within the Southern Nevada community while inspiring and empowering the next generation of leaders.
Through these events and programs, Credit One Bank continues to reinforce its commitment to enriching the lives of students in Las Vegas, providing them with valuable experiences and support as they pursue educational goals and build connections with their local community.
