Las Vegas will host an event titled “Lynchland” on August 9, celebrating the works of iconic director David Lynch. Organized by Wine Hearse, a special events company known for its unique wine service from the back of a vintage hearse, the celebration will take place from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at The Dark Room, located at 1515 E. Tropicana Ave., Suite 660. General admission tickets are priced at $65, while VIP tickets are available for $99, allowing for early entry at 7 p.m.
The event will feature a lineup of engaging experiences, including photography, miniature cocktails or mocktails inspired by Lynch’s films ‘Blue Velvet’ and ‘Eraserhead,’ as well as the cult television series ‘Twin Peaks.’ DJ Copay will provide an all-vinyl soundtrack throughout the night, enhancing the immersive ambiance.
Attendees can participate in a costume contest, with prizes awarded to the best-dressed participants. Other unique offerings include Lynchian flash tattoos from Lawless Atelier and limited-edition stickers from Veia Luxe Vending. Additionally, a stunning Night Garden Floral installation will contribute to the event’s aesthetic.
A cash bar will serve Pursued by Bear wines, produced by Kyle MacLachlan, known for his role as Agent Cooper in ‘Twin Peaks.’ The event also aims to support the local community, with donations being collected for The Pride Tree, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting LGBTQ youth.
About David Lynch
David Lynch, who passed away in January 2023, is renowned for his dark and surreal perspective in film and television. His notable works have significantly influenced American culture, making this event a fitting tribute. Lynch had a particular fondness for wine, including a limited-edition cabernet sauvignon he released in 2006 with an Italian winery. He was also known to enjoy Bordeaux wines, notably Château Lynch-Bages.
In the third season of ‘Twin Peaks,’ Lynch himself appeared as the FBI regional bureau chief Gordon Cole, where he was seen toasting with a glass of Bordeaux, further showcasing his passion for wine.
