A newly renovated hotel room in Four Queens Hotel showcasing modern amenities.

News Summary

The Four Queens hotel-casino in downtown Las Vegas has completed a $24 million renovation of its North Tower, enhancing all 300 rooms with modern amenities. The project, which took three months, included upgrades to infrastructure and a transition to a non-smoking policy. The hotel will release floors for booking weekly, with prices starting at $69. The renovation aims to attract both new and returning guests as the property modernizes its offerings in a competitive Las Vegas market.

Las Vegas – The Four Queens hotel-casino in downtown Las Vegas has recently completed a significant renovation of its North Tower, with the $24 million project officially wrapping up this month. Following about three months of intensive work that began in June 2024, all 300 hotel rooms within the tower have been remodeled, enhancing both aesthetic and functional aspects of the accommodations.

General Manager Tim Lager confirmed that the renovations were completed “on time and on budget.” The updates include substantial improvements to the internal infrastructure, such as new HVAC and plumbing systems, as well as the installation of sound-dampening windows to enhance guest comfort. Additionally, the bathrooms have been enlarged, and modern amenities have been introduced, including 50-inch televisions, mini-fridges, in-room coffee makers, new carpeting, furniture, and closet organizers.

Despite the completion of the renovation, not all rooms are immediately available for booking. The hotel will release one to two floors per week for reservations, with the full North Tower expected to open by early September. Currently, advanced online booking rates for the newly renovated rooms start at $69 per weekend night. The hotel is also notable for not charging a resort fee for any of its accommodations.

Transition to Non-Smoking Rooms

In a further update, the Four Queens hotel has announced that all hotel rooms will transition to a non-smoking policy starting August 15. This decision aligns with a growing trend among hospitality venues to enhance the overall guest experience by promoting a healthier atmosphere.

Historical Context

The North Tower of Four Queens first opened in 1966, providing a vintage charm while catering to a diverse clientele. Its last significant renovation took place in 1999, marking this recent update as a major undertaking nearly 25 years in the making. Concurrently, the South Tower, which houses 400 rooms, has also undergone renovations. Both towers are part of the Four Queens property, which is owned by Terry Caudill’s TLC Casino Enterprises. Caudill acquired the Four Queens in 2003 and Binion’s Gambling Hall in 2008.

This substantial renovation not only reflects the hotel’s commitment to modernization but also aims to attract both new guests and returning customers. With the integration of contemporary designs and state-of-the-art facilities, the Four Queens hotel-casino is positioning itself as a competitive option within the vibrant Las Vegas market.

Future Prospects

As the North Tower prepares to reopen, the anticipation surrounding its updated offerings suggests a positive outlook for the property. The combination of upgraded amenities, the absence of resort fees, and the newly established non-smoking policy are all expected to bolster its appeal among visitors to Las Vegas. As bookings begin to fill up, the Four Queens hotel-casino is set to embark on its next chapter in providing exceptional hospitality experiences to its guests.
