The bus attempted to make a left turn onto northbound Burkholder Boulevard while under a flashing yellow turn signal. At the same time, the motorcyclist was traveling west on Racetrack Road and collided with the front right corner of the bus. The impact of the crash caused the motorcyclist to be ejected from the motorcycle.
Authorities confirmed that the bus was not in service at the time of the accident. The driver of the bus remained at the scene and was subsequently issued a citation. An investigation conducted by the police determined that factors such as speed and impairment were not considered to contribute to the collision.
