Hogs & Heifers Saloon relocation site on Main Street, Las Vegas

News Summary

Hogs & Heifers Saloon, a beloved Las Vegas establishment, is relocating from Downtown 3rd Street to a new site on Main Street. Owner Michelle Dell announced the move after two decades of operation at its former location, with the new venue offering expanded facilities and community engagement opportunities. Despite the challenges, a fundraising initiative called Operation Saves Hogs is supporting staff during the transition. The new address is expected to enhance the cultural landscape of the area, and the saloon plans to open by December.

Las Vegas – Hogs & Heifers Saloon, a beloved establishment in Las Vegas, is set to relocate from its current location on Downtown 3rd Street to a new property on Main Street, between the Bridger Hotel and Las Vegas City Hall, specifically at 307 and 319 Main Street. Owner Michelle Dell announced that the business is officially in escrow for this new location, marking a significant milestone for the popular saloon.

The anticipated move comes after two decades of operations on Downtown 3rd Street. Hogs & Heifers held its final party at the existing location on July 5, 2025, which also celebrated the saloon’s 20th anniversary since its soft opening. During this time, the saloon has become a local fixture, attracting over 200,000 visitors annually since its inception in 2005.

The new venue will be a half-acre parcel, offering ample space for an expanded bar footprint, on-site parking, and room for community events. Dell expressed enthusiasm about the move, stating that the new location couldn’t be more perfect for the business. The transition comes in response to continuous inquiries from customers about the saloon’s future after it temporarily closed in May 2025.

As part of the move, Hogs & Heifers has launched a fundraising initiative named Operation Saves Hogs, aimed at supporting non-management staff during the transition period. This campaign has included online donations and merchandise sales, which have been critical in providing support to staff members. Dell noted that despite the uncertainties surrounding the relocation, nearly every team member chose to stay with the saloon following the May announcement.

One driving factor behind the relocation is the expiration of the saloon’s 20-year lease with the property owner, CIM Group. This prompted the search for a new site that would offer greater stability and a chance for ownership. The selected location is in a historic area, previously occupied by the Little Hotel Rooming House, enhancing the cultural significance of the new establishment.

Hogs & Heifers is expected to open its doors at the new address by December 2025. Dell emphasized the importance of owning the property, highlighting its potential impact on the Downtown economy and the saloon’s long-term viability. The transition is being managed with a commitment to preserve the spirit and culture that patrons have come to love over the years.

In reflecting on the farewell event held prior to the move, Dell described it as symbolic of “Independence Day” for the business. This sentiment captures the essence of embracing new opportunities while acknowledging the rich history and cherished memories created at the original location.

As Hogs & Heifers prepares for its new chapter, the saloon’s loyal fanbase eagerly anticipates the reopening and the chance to create new memories in a fresh environment that remains true to the essence of what made the saloon a beloved part of Las Vegas nightlife.
