Las Vegas – Holsteins Shakes & Buns is set to shake things up in Downtown Las Vegas with the introduction of its new location and exciting menu items, including the Campfire S’mores Milkshake. Scheduled to open in early spring 2025, the restaurant stems from the original location that closed at The Cosmopolitan just five months prior. This new site will be positioned at 1216 South Main Street, neighboring the popular Velveteen Rabbit cocktail bar.
Spanning 2,800 square feet, the restaurant is designed to reflect an urban vibe with its original brickwork and industrial concrete floors. The menu will be centered around indulgent burgers and signature milkshakes, promising a meal experience that is vibrant and rich in flavor. Among the featured milkshakes is the Campfire S’mores shake, which is a delightful blend of flavors and textures, designed to evoke the classic s’mores experience. Key ingredients include graham crackers, chocolate sauce, toasted marshmallows, S’mores chocolate balls, chocolate-covered graham crackers, and vanilla frosting, all topped with a graham crumble. This unique shake can be crafted with or without alcohol for a versatile dining experience.
Another standout on the milkshake menu is the Bam-Boozled shake, which combines a rich chocolate shake with coffee liqueur, Nutella, and coffee, along with various toppings such as a mini donut. The combination of flavors and the luxurious presentation make these shakes a signature offering for Holsteins, promising to appeal to both local residents and visitors.
In the competitive landscape of Las Vegas, Holsteins joins a diverse array of establishments known for their extravagant milkshake offerings. Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer, located at The Venetian, is renowned for its “CrazyShakes.” Some of their featured flavors include the New Yorker, a vibrant strawberry shake topped with a slice of strawberry cheesecake, and the Brooklyn Blackout, a rich chocolate shake paired with two brownies. Other popular milkshakes at Black Tap include a dessert-style Cookie Shake, which features a “cookiewich” and crumbled cookies, available in a vegan option, as well as the Cookies ’n Cream Supreme, topped with a cookies and cream sandwich and crumbled Oreos.
In addition to milkshakes, Las Vegas offers a variety of unique treat options across different venues. At Cabo Wabo Cantina in Miracle Mile Shops, customers can find a refreshing margarita verde made with lime, cucumber, cilantro, and Cabo Wabo blanco tequila. Kusa Nori at Resorts World Las Vegas specializes in sushi, nigiri, sashimi, and mochi ice cream, frequently enjoyed during happy hour. For ramen lovers, JINYA Ramen Bar serves a Chilled Tan Tan Men, featuring thick noodles in a chilled chicken-soy broth with pork soboro. Beerhaus in The Park at New York-New York is known for its cookie trio served with vanilla ice cream, while America, also at New York-New York, offers a classic hot fudge brownie sundae.
Moreover, the Cocolini gelato bar has multiple locations along the Las Vegas Strip, and Drai’s Beachclub at The Cromwell features BuzzBars, which are ice cream bars infused with alcohol. For those looking to indulge in Asian flavors, Hakkasan at MGM Grand provides an Endless Dim Sum Brunch every Sunday.
With its emphasis on an edgy design and nostalgic menu options, Holsteins Shakes & Buns aims to attract a hipster and sports-loving crowd in Downtown Las Vegas. As the opening date approaches, it promises to create a lively atmosphere that combines unique culinary offerings with the charm of the vibrant Las Vegas community.
