One of the highlights of the holiday weekend includes a free outdoor music and movie event at Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas on Saturday, July 5. The park will host the screening of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” with the film set to begin 15 to 30 minutes after sunset, approximately at 8:15 p.m. The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m., offering attendees music, food trucks, vendors, and concessions priced at just $3.
Meanwhile, in the town of Pahrump, also scheduled for July 5, Ian Deutch Memorial Park will host a free screening of the classic film “The Wizard of Oz,” starting at dusk (around 8:15 p.m.). This event promises to be an exciting option for families looking to enjoy a classic movie under the stars.
For those seeking relaxation yet still wanting to celebrate, the Mountainside Yoga classes will be held at Lee Canyon on July 4 and July 6 from 10 to 11 a.m. Participants are required to bring their own mat, water, hat, and sunscreen, while also dressing in comfortable clothing. A fee of $10 per person is charged for the yoga session, and registration is mandatory due to expected high demand.
On July 4, the Fremont Street Experience will feature a free concert series, headlined by country music artist Craig Morgan, who takes the stage at 9 p.m. This event adds a vibrant local flavor to the holiday celebrations in the renowned entertainment district.
Additionally, the First Friday event in the Las Vegas Arts District is scheduled for July 4 from 5 to 11 p.m., offering a showcase of local businesses, musicians, and artists. Attendees will enjoy performances by local talent, including artist LaRon Emcee. This event is free to the public and allows participants to view the fireworks display from the Plaza Hotel.

The fireworks show at Caesars Palace kicks off at 9 p.m., with a viewing party priced at $150 per person, which includes an open bar. The Durango Casino & Resort will also have fireworks at 9 p.m., where tickets cost $10 for children and $35 for individuals aged 12 and older.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is ramping up enforcement not only against illegal fireworks but also impaired driving over the holiday weekend.
