Las Vegas police are actively investigating a series of armed robberies.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating several armed robberies and is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in multiple incidents. The suspect, described as a white adult female, has been linked to at least two robberies in July. Additionally, an armed robbery of an armored truck resulted in a theft of approximately $300,000. Authorities emphasize community involvement in enhancing public safety and urge residents to remain vigilant.
The suspect is described as a white adult female, standing between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, and estimated to be between 30 and 60 years old. In both robberies, she was seen donning a black knitted ski mask and prescription eyeglasses. Reports indicate she wore a dark shirt or a New York Yankees sweatshirt beneath a black jacket, along with white shoes and carried a light-colored backpack.
Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information regarding these robberies to reach out to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Commercial Robbery Section at (702) 828-3591. Individuals wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555, and tips that lead to arrests or indictments may qualify for cash rewards.
On a related note, a separate armed robbery occurred on Wednesday at 12:14 p.m. in the 9800 block of West Charleston Avenue, near Hualapai Way, where approximately $300,000 was stolen. This incident involved two male suspects. Thankfully, no injuries were reported during this robbery. Shortly after the incident, police initiated an investigation at the crime scene.
Authorities have identified an armored truck connected to the robbery as belonging to Loomis US, a company recognized for operating the largest cash distribution network in the United States. The involvement of such a significant amount of cash has prompted heightened police scrutiny of incidents related to financial thefts in the area.
Additionally, police are also seeking information regarding a different armed robbery that occurred on July 3, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m. The male suspect in this earlier incident is described as 6 feet tall, weighing around 230 pounds, and was reportedly wearing an American flag face mask, a gray hoodie, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes.
These recent events have combined to raise concerns among the Las Vegas community about safety and security as police encourage residents to stay vigilant. Equipped with descriptions of the suspects, law enforcement hopes to gather valuable information from the public to aid their investigations into these serious crimes.
Crime Prevention Efforts
In light of the ongoing investigations, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department emphasizes the importance of community involvement in promoting public safety. Crime prevention tips include being observant of surroundings, reporting suspicious activities, and securing personal belongings and property.
The police department continues to remind the public that the safety of the community relies heavily on the cooperative efforts of its residents. Through community vigilance and communication, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department aims to ensure that justice is served and that residents feel safe within their neighborhoods.
As these investigations evolve, additional updates will be provided by law enforcement officials, reinforcing the commitment to addressing crime in the Las Vegas area and maintaining public trust through transparency and collaboration with the community.
