Northeast Las Vegas Man Dies Following Traffic Collision

A man has died nearly two months after being critically injured in a traffic collision in northeast Las Vegas. Jason Graham, 39, succumbed to his injuries on June 24, 2025, according to the Clark County Coroner’s office. The incident, which occurred on April 19 at approximately 4 p.m., involved a Chevrolet Silverado and a Mercedes-Benz at the intersection of East Lake Mead and North Lamb Boulevards.

The crash unfolded when the Chevrolet Silverado was traveling east on Lake Mead and made a left turn, colliding with the Mercedes-Benz. Both vehicles sustained significant damage to their front ends as a result of the impact. Emergency medical responders transported all three passengers in the Mercedes and both drivers to a nearby hospital for treatment. While both drivers and two passengers from the Mercedes sustained minor injuries and were subsequently released, Graham was reported to have suffered life-threatening injuries.

Following the incident, police initiated an investigation into the crash which led to Graham’s eventual death, marking a tragic end to an event that had serious repercussions for all involved.

Details Surrounding the June Multi-Vehicle Crash

In a separate incident just a day later, on June 25, 2025, a multi-vehicle crash occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of North Eastern Avenue and East Stewart Avenue. This accident was triggered by a speeding 2021 Toyota Camry that failed to stop at a red light, striking a 2005 Volkswagen Touareg that was making a left turn onto Stewart Avenue. The impact redirected both the Camry and the Touareg, causing the Camry to subsequently collide with a stopped 2019 Nissan Rogue, which was then pushed into a Peterbilt semi-truck.

The driver of the Touareg, a 42-year-old man, sustained severe injuries and was transported to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Camry, identified as 23-year-old Raul Castorena, also suffered serious injuries and was taken to the same medical facility for treatment. Following the crash, Castorena was booked in absentia into the Clark County Detention Center on charges related to the incident.

Traffic Fatality Statistics

This latter crash marks the 82nd traffic-related fatality in the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Police Department for the year 2025. The investigation into both incidents remains ongoing, as authorities continue to gather information and determine the circumstances surrounding these tragic events.

Background on Traffic Safety Concerns

Traffic safety is a growing concern nationwide, with cities like Las Vegas witnessing an alarming rise in fatal accidents. The recent incidents underline the importance of road safety awareness and adherence to traffic regulations to prevent further tragedies.
