Las Vegas will host “Lynchland,” a special event dedicated to celebrated filmmaker David Lynch, on August 9 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at The Dark Room, located at 1515 E. Tropicana Ave., Suite 660. Organized by Wine Hearse, a unique events company that serves wines from a vintage hearse, the event promises an immersive experience inspired by Lynch’s iconic films and television shows.

Event attendees can look forward to a range of activities, including photography experiences and specially crafted miniature cocktails or mocktails inspired by Lynch’s legendary works such as “Blue Velvet,” “Eraserhead,” and the beloved TV series “Twin Peaks.” To enhance the atmosphere, DJ Copay will provide an all-vinyl soundtrack throughout the evening.

In addition to the themed beverages, attendees will have the opportunity to get flash tattoos designed by Lawless Atelier and acquire limited-edition stickers from Veia Luxe Vending. A unique floral installation titled Night Garden will add visual flair to the event space.

Costumes are encouraged, and there will be a contest awarding prizes for the best-dressed individuals. For those looking to enjoy the event’s offerings, a cash bar will feature Pursued by Bear wines, created by Kyle MacLachlan, who starred in “Twin Peaks.” Ticket prices are set at $65 for general admission and $99 for VIP admission, which allows entry at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at winehearse.com.

As part of the event’s commitment to community support, donations will be collected for The Pride Tree, a local nonprofit organization aimed at assisting LGBTQ youth in the Las Vegas area.

David Lynch, who passed away in January, is known for his fondness for smoking, wine, and the nightlife experiences that often permeate his cinematic universe. His works frequently explore themes of surrealism and mystery, creating an engaging experience for audiences. In 2006, Lynch collaborated with an Italian winery to develop a limited-edition cabernet sauvignon, reflecting his deep appreciation for fine wines.

Lynch’s affinity for Bordeaux wines, particularly Château Lynch-Bages, is well-documented. In the third season of “Twin Peaks,” aired in 2017, Lynch made a memorable cameo as FBI regional bureau chief Gordon Cole, raising a glass of Bordeaux in a toast to the FBI, further melding his love for wine and storytelling.

The “Lynchland” event will be a unique opportunity for fans of David Lynch to come together and celebrate his work through various artistic mediums, while also supporting a meaningful cause in the community. Ensuring a blend of creative expression, social responsibility, and entertainment, the event promises to be a noteworthy addition to Las Vegas’ vibrant cultural landscape.
