Las Vegas is set to host the Mega Extraterrestrial Fest V, a groundbreaking three-day music festival, in 2027. This festival is being promoted as “the first extraterrestrial global brand” and aims to provide an immersive experience through a combination of music, holograms, and augmented reality.
The festival will showcase 11 hours of music each day, featuring over 30 renowned DJs and artists, creating an electrifying atmosphere for attendees. The event’s programming will also integrate various disciplines such as philosophy, spirituality, science, and technology, making it a multi-faceted celebration.
The festival concept was developed by Lucas Piña, the former leader of the events division at Spanish Broadcasting Systems. His company, 360 Worldwide Entertainment, is producing the event in partnership with MGM Resorts and Production Resource Group (PRG). The planning aims to push the boundaries of traditional music festivals, offering a ‘multiverse’ with original characters brought to life through advanced visual technologies.
At the helm of the festival’s production is Jere Harris, who is noted for his work producing the acclaimed “EFX” show at MGM Grand. He will serve as the general producer for the event alongside James Lehner, who has a notable history as a developer of “Star Trek: The Experience.” Their combined expertise is expected to elevate the festival’s execution and overall experience.
The festival’s vision focuses on promoting a non-violent perspective, aiming to foster self-discovery among attendees, particularly the demographic referred to as the “SER-SER generation.” This emphasis reflects a desire to combine entertainment with deeper philosophical inquiries, encouraging a considerate and reflective atmosphere.
