Las Vegas — New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) has officially launched its first-ever residency at Park MGM, with performances slated to begin on June 20 and run through February of the following year. The residency promises to be an exciting opportunity for fans to experience the iconic band live in an intimate setting.
Composed of members Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight, and Danny Wood, NKOTB rose to prominence in the late ’80s and early ’90s as one of the most influential pop groups of their time. Their innovative music and engaging fan strategies set a precedent for many modern boy bands that followed. With over 80 million records sold worldwide, NKOTB has solidified its place in pop music history as cult favorites.
Formed in the mid-’80s by producer Maurice Starr, NKOTB’s breakout album “Hangin’ Tough” included timeless hits such as “Please Don’t Go Girl,” “You Got It (The Right Stuff),” “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever),” and “Hangin’ Tough.” Their unique blend of pop and contemporary R&B captured the hearts of many, leading to a devoted following known as “Blockheads.” At their peak, the band’s fan club boasted more than 200,000 members, and their dedicated hotline received upwards of 100,000 calls each week from fans expressing their devotion.
The Las Vegas residency follows the tremendous success of NKOTB’s sold-out Magic Summer Tour in 2024, as well as the release of their latest album, “Still Kids.” Donnie Wahlberg has emphasized that the Las Vegas residency will maximize opportunities for fan interaction, reinforcing the band’s commitment to their loyal audience.
Due to overwhelming demand, NKOTB has announced the addition of eight more shows for 2026, increasing the total number of performances to 24. This move highlights the band’s popularity and the strong appeal of the Las Vegas residency, which allows fans both old and new to enjoy their favorite hits in a dynamic atmosphere.
Tickets for the extended residency can be purchased through Ticketmaster, with some performances expected to sell out quickly, given the band’s broad appeal across generations.
In addition to the concert experience, NKOTB is initiating a special promotion in collaboration with Pinkbox Doughnuts. Starting at 6 am on June 20, customers can purchase a special doughnut called The Caramelo, filled with caramel cheesecake and topped with chocolate and caramel. This promotion presents a unique opportunity for fans as select doughnuts will contain winning tickets to an NKOTB concert scheduled for July 3. Supplies are limited, emphasizing the excitement surrounding both the doughnut promotion and the band’s residency.
The launch of the residency marks a significant moment not only for NKOTB but also for their diverse fan base, which spans generations. With loyal supporters eager to relive the band’s classic hits and a new audience discovering their music, the Park MGM residency is poised to be a remarkable event for all involved.
