For reasons that remain unclear, her motorcycle hit a raised center median, causing it to veer across both southbound lanes. As a result of the collision, the motorcycle left the road and struck a wooden utility pole.

Responding officers arrived to find the woman unresponsive, and she was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. The second motorcyclist, who was traveling ahead of her, did not sustain any injuries and remained at the location. Preliminary investigations have not indicated that impairment contributed to this particular crash.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office is expected to release the identity of the deceased woman once her next of kin have been notified.
