The vibrant atmosphere of Las Vegas Pride Month charity event, honoring inclusion and support.
Las Vegas celebrated Pride Month with the ‘Big Night Out’ charity event, featuring performances and specialty cocktails aimed at raising funds for The Trevor Project. Events throughout the month emphasize community support and inclusivity for LGBTQ+ youth, showcasing a vibrant array of activities and performances. The city’s commitment to celebrating Pride is also reflected in the iconic attractions illuminated in rainbow colors, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all.
Las Vegas celebrated Pride Month with the “Big Night Out” charity event on June 3, 2023, held at Easy Cocktail Lounge, located behind Easy’s Donuts & Coffee in Aria’s Proper Eats Food Hall. Estevan Velasco, a prominent performer known for his work in ROUGE at The STRAT and Dita Von Teese’s residency at The Venetian, took the stage during this memorable night aimed at raising funds for The Trevor Project, an organization dedicated to suicide prevention among LGBTQ+ youth.
The charity event featured a selection of specialty cocktails, including the exclusive “Glitter Gulch” and “Prism Punch.” To augment the evening’s fundraising efforts, one dollar from each drink purchased was donated directly to The Trevor Project. This initiative highlighted the local community’s commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ youth during a time of celebration and awareness.
The “Big Night Out” was part of a larger series of events planned in Las Vegas for Pride Month, which is recognized nationally every June. Pride Month in Las Vegas boasts a wealth of activities, encompassing everything from pool parties to drag performances.
Among the notable events are the official PRIDE pool party, called Elevate, taking place every Saturday at SAHARA Las Vegas’ Alexandria Pool. In addition, Luxor’s Temptation Sundays continues to be a beloved gathering organized by queer nightlife figure Eduardo Cordova, providing an ongoing LGBTQ+ celebration.
The pride-themed excitement extends beyond the nightlife, with AREA15 hosting Pride Family Bingo on June 4, where proceeds will benefit local nonprofit organizations. The month is further animated by various drag performances, including the highly attended RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! at Flamingo, showcasing local talent and the vibrancy of the LGBTQ+ community.
In addition to performances and parties, community mixers like the one at The Portal at AREA15, scheduled for June 4, are set to both entertain and fundraise for local initiatives. Celebrity drag brunches highlighting local queens are also planned, adding flair and engagement to the month-long festivities.
The city of Las Vegas enhances the celebratory atmosphere by lighting up iconic attractions, such as The High Roller and the Eiffel Tower, in rainbow colors, marking the importance of inclusivity and support for LGBTQ+ individuals.
As part of its ongoing commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, Las Vegas is already preparing for the upcoming Las Vegas Pride Parade, set to take place on October 10, 2025. This event is expected to bring together thousands in nighttime festivities, further reinforcing the city’s welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ visitors. Throughout the year, Las Vegas is dedicated to hosting events that foster inclusivity and celebration, ensuring that everyone feels welcomed and embraced within the community.
