News Summary

Rod Stewart has announced the cancellation of several concerts in Las Vegas, including shows at The Colosseum Theater and the Lake Tahoe Amphitheater, due to health issues stemming from the flu. The musician has expressed his regrets and apologies to fans while assuring his intention to return soon. He is also rescheduling some performances, with plans to perform at the Glastonbury Festival later in June. Concerns over his future touring plans have surfaced, but Stewart remains committed to the music scene.

Las Vegas – Rod Stewart has announced the cancellation of several upcoming concerts as he recuperates from the flu. The 80-year-old music icon will not perform on June 7, June 8, and June 10 at The Colosseum Theater at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, along with another show scheduled for June 14 at the Lake Tahoe Amphitheater in Stateline, Nevada.

In a statement, Stewart expressed his regret and offered apologies to his fans for the inconvenience his cancellation may cause. He assured them that he intends to return to the stage in the near future.

Stewart’s recent health challenges have raised concerns, particularly since he had previously canceled performances on June 1 and June 5 due to feeling unwell. Following a doctor’s advice, Stewart opted for more rest, leading to the latest round of concert cancellations.

Despite these setbacks, Stewart is working to reschedule some of his performances. The concert set for June 12 in Rancho Mirage has been shifted to September 20, while the June 15 concert in Paso Robles is rescheduled for September 21. These adjustments highlight his commitment to return to touring once he recovers.

Looking ahead, Stewart is slated to perform at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival on June 29, an event that anticipates a crowd of approximately 100,000 fans. This makes him one of the oldest acts featured at the festival, which has a long history of showcasing international music talent.

Stewart’s health concerns have prompted discussions about his future in touring. In the past, he has indicated that 2025 would mark the end of his large-scale world tours. Despite these plans, he has emphasized that he does not wish to retire from performing altogether, suggesting a continued presence in the music scene after 2025.

In May, Stewart received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the American Music Awards, underscoring his lasting impact on the music industry. Following his appearance at Glastonbury, the musician has a series of performances scheduled across the United States and Canada. Additionally, he is expected to resume his Las Vegas residency later in September.

As Rod Stewart focuses on his recovery, fans and industry insiders alike are hopeful for his swift return to health and performance, ensuring that he remains a vibrant presence in the music world for years to come.
