Las Vegas Set for Chilling Experience with ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Haunted House

Universal Horror Unleashed is preparing to launch a new haunted house attraction inspired by the iconic 1974 film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre on August 14 at AREA15 in Las Vegas. This attraction will immerse visitors in the terrifying world of the cult classic film, inviting them to experience the brutality and horror of the story firsthand.

The haunted house promises to offer an experience closely aligned with the film’s plot. Guests will begin their journey through a Texas cemetery, where the ominous atmosphere sets the tone for what lies ahead. After the cemetery, visitors will navigate their way to a dusty rural gas station that further builds tension before entering a decaying farmhouse. Inside the farmhouse, participants will encounter the notorious character Leatherface along with his deranged family members, heightening the experience with intense interactions.

One of the standout features of this new attraction is the ‘Kill Vault’, which consists of four unsettling zones designed to heighten the horror experience. Within these zones, actors will portray disturbing characters who interact directly with guests, enhancing the realism and immersive quality of the haunted house. The attraction’s design manager has expressed a commitment to matching the film’s brutal intensity, ensuring that audiences will feel the palpable fear of being pursued by Leatherface through the farmhouse maze.

In addition to the haunted house, AREA15 will feature a dining area called Rough Cuts. This space will serve small plates in an environment that reflects the horror-themed decor and live show elements of the attraction, contributing to a comprehensive experience that allows guests to feel as though the horror extends beyond the haunted house itself.

Universal Horror Unleashed will launch alongside three other attractions on the same day: a Universal Monsters-themed attraction, Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer, and an original concept titled Scarecrow: The Reaping. Each of these attractions aims to provide thrilling experiences for horror enthusiasts and those seeking immersive entertainment options.

Las Vegas’s entertainment scene has been evolving, establishing itself as a year-round destination for themed entertainment. The integration of well-known intellectual properties with innovative designs in immersive experiences reflects the city’s ongoing commitment to offering diverse attractions. Such developments ensure that Las Vegas remains a leading hub for entertainment, particularly in the realm of horror and immersive experiences.

Guests eager to experience the thrills of Universal Horror Unleashed’s haunted house are encouraged to prepare for an intense adventure that brings the iconic film to life. With the opening less than a month away, horror fans across the country are eagerly anticipating this chilling attraction as part of their Las Vegas experience.
