A lively atmosphere filled with excited fans at WrestleMania in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas is set to host WrestleMania again in 2026 following the success of its previous event in 2025. WWE has shifted the location from New Orleans to Las Vegas, where discussions are ongoing about accommodating the crowd. While there are logistical challenges ahead, WWE remains committed to a strong partnership with Las Vegas and aims to establish the city as a regular venue for major sporting events, leveraging its favorable conditions and popularity.
Las Vegas is set to welcome WrestleMania back in 2026 after a successful event held in April 2025 at Allegiant Stadium, which attracted a record-breaking attendance. The WWE has announced that it will not proceed with its original plan to host WrestleMania at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans for 2026. Instead, wrestling officials are in discussions concerning the logistics of the event in Las Vegas.
Given the success of this year’s WrestleMania, WWE is eager to host the event again in Las Vegas, aiming to capitalize on the city’s popularity as a sports destination. Discussions between Las Vegas officials and WWE include evaluating how venues like Allegiant Stadium and T-Mobile Arena can accommodate the anticipated large crowd. WrestleMania 2026 will occur on an unspecified future date, following the postponement of the original schedule.
A joint statement released by WWE’s parent company, TKO Group, and The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation confirmed the decision. While WWE will not hold WrestleMania in New Orleans, both organizations have committed to enhancing their partnership for other events, such as UFC 318 and Money In The Bank, which are scheduled to take place in 2026.
The 2025 WrestleMania week was a huge success, featuring various events, including the WWE World fan fest at the Las Vegas Convention Center, alongside additional programs at T-Mobile Arena. The main event took place at Allegiant Stadium over two days, with an official attendance of 124,693 fans. This figure generated record ticket revenue, despite having 20,600 fewer attendees than WrestleMania 40. The event also set a broadcast viewership record, achieving a 114 percent increase over the previous year, showcasing the growing popularity of WWE and its flagship event.
Logistical challenges pose potential hurdles for the future WrestleMania events in Las Vegas. A concert is scheduled at Allegiant Stadium during the tentative WrestleMania weekend, which could complicate preparations and set-up time for WWE. Additionally, the Las Vegas Convention Center has other events planned that might limit the necessary space for WWE’s activities during the weekend.
Despite these challenges, WWE is determined to establish a frequent presence in Las Vegas, driven by the financial success and favorable local conditions experienced in their past events. TKO Group’s leadership is enthusiastic about the city’s capabilities and the potential for increased profits, making it an attractive option for WrestleMania.
Las Vegas is actively positioning itself as a prime destination for major sporting events, which could see WrestleMania becoming a regular fixture in the city’s event lineup in the coming years. Notably, the lack of competing large events like the Super Bowl or NCAA tournaments during the potential WrestleMania timeframe further supports this strategy.
Another element influencing the decision to return to Las Vegas is Nick Khan’s personal ties to the city, enhancing WWE’s relationship with Las Vegas stakeholders.
While no official announcement has been made regarding the specific date for WrestleMania’s return to Las Vegas, the ongoing discussions and previous successes demonstrate a robust commitment to bringing this marquee event back to the Entertainment Capital of the World.
