Zippy’s, the popular Hawaiian diner, will launch its third location in Southern Nevada at 9570 S. Eastern Ave., aiming for a fall 2025 opening. This follows their second location’s recent debut and promises to offer a unique blend of Hawaiian cuisine. Hiring events are scheduled in July for various positions, welcoming local residents to join the growing Zippy’s family while enhancing dining options in the area.
Zippy’s, the popular Hawaiian diner chain, has announced plans to open its third location in Southern Nevada. The restaurant will be situated at 9570 S. Eastern Ave., just north of East Silverado Ranch Boulevard, with an anticipated opening date in fall 2025. This new addition follows the opening of Zippy’s second location on South Hualapai Way, which debuted in March 2025.
The original Zippy’s opened on the mainland in Las Vegas in October 2023. This inaugural event drew significant attention, featuring traditional Hawaiian rituals, including performances by hula dancers and blessings by a Hawaiian priest. This grand opening attracted a crowd of approximately 200 individuals, showcasing the popularity of the brand.
Zippy’s blends various dining experiences, including a retail bakery, fast-casual takeout, and a full-service dining room, catering to the diverse preferences of its customers. The upcoming Henderson location aims to replicate this successful model, allowing local residents to enjoy a unique blend of Hawaiian culture and cuisine right in their community.
As part of the preparations for the new location, Zippy’s will host hiring fairs on July 9 and July 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The July 9 event will be held at the EmployNV Career Hub located at 4500 Sunset Road, Suite 40, in Henderson. The July 23 event will take place at the same Career Hub, specifically within the Green Valley Library at 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway.
A variety of positions will be available at these events, including opportunities in back-of-house, front-of-house roles, and management positions. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend the hiring fairs to learn more about job openings and to be a part of the growing Zippy’s family.
Zippy’s was established nearly 60 years ago by brothers Francis and Charles Higa in downtown Honolulu. Since then, the chain has expanded to include around two dozen locations across Hawaii and the mainland United States, including the recent establishments in Las Vegas.
The Henderson location will occupy a space that previously hosted several restaurants, including East Ocean Dim Sum, Asia Palace, and Spaghetto Italian Kitchen. The introduction of Zippy’s is expected to not only enhance the dining options in the area but also to share the rich Hawaiian culinary traditions with the Southern Nevada community.
